SG Flensburg-Handewitt - FC Barcelona 27:28 (10:13)

First came Wisla Plock (23:28), last weekend was a thrilling victory at the death against Kiel at the Palau Blaugrana (26:25) and on Wednesday it was Flensburg's turn to face Barça Lassa. This leaves them in first place following their tense and hard-earned victory by a single goal against Flensburg (27:28).

FC Barcelona Lassa v THW Kiel 26:25 (10:13)

FC Barcelona Lassa secured their second win in the Velux EHF Champions League in an intrepid encounter against German outfit Kiel. It was game of courage and never losing hope as they battled from behind on repeated occasions and eventually snatched glory with half a minute on the clock. Xavi Pascual's side had to overcome a strong start from the visitors, who did a fine job of thwarting the Barça attack force and were lethal on the counter. If hadn't been for five terrific saves from Gonzalo Pérez de Vargas, things could have been a lot worse than the 6-7 on the quarter hour, but the difference had soon been extended to three (10:13).

BM Benidorm - FC Barcelona 27-30 (17-14)

FC Barcelona Lassa's incredible winning run in domestic play came under serious threat on Wednesday night in Benidorm. They found themselves in the unfamiliar situation of playing catch-up for almost the entire match – and things were only decided in the last five minutes and by a narrow margin of just three goals.

Victory with character

Orlen Wisla Plock - FC Barcelona Lassa 23:28 (12:11)

FC Barcelona Lassa handball kicked off their Champions League campaign in style after digging in deep to defeat Orlen Wisla Plock away from home (23:28). Barça got off to a bad start as a plucky Wisla Plock side looked that yard sharper in their speed and transitions. Also, in large part due to their keeper Corrales, who made a flurry of stops, the home side increased their lead to four five minutes before the break, before eventually finishing it 12:11.

BM Guadalajara - FC Barcelona Lassa 25:34 (15:14)

The FC Barcelona Lassa handball team has won 34:25 away to BM Guadalajara but the final scoreline does not reflect the intense battle it took to get there. Especially early on, Xavi Pascual's side was struggling to get their grip on the game. They still trailed 15:14 at the half hour mark. With rapid play and confident circulation of the ball, the home side proved extraordinarily hard for the champions to break down.
