The Barça handball side continue their excellent campaign with a record breaking victory over Fertiberia Puerto Sagunto by 51:29 at the Palau. The team coached by Xavi Pascual set a new club goalscoring landmark on Tuesday with the 51 goals scored surpassing the previous best of 48 that came last season in the game also at home against BM Aragón. Every single outfield player got onto the scoresheet inlcuding the youngster Àlex Márquez. Noddesbo (8), Sorhaindo (6), Sarmiento (5), Ariño (5), Sigurdsson (5) and Karabatic (7) all scored five goals or more as Barça scored a remarkable 25 goals before the break, only to go one better in the second half. With the game decided in the second half, the crowd turned their attentions to the goalscoring record. The new landmark figure of 51 ensured another win in the Asobal League for the blaugranes whose attention now turns to Europe as they take on Aalborg in the Champions League on Sunday away in Denmark.
