Four personnel decisions in Barcelona

The Spanish FC Barcelona was able to close already four personnel deals for the upcoming season. As the club announced, Marko Kopljar (Paris Saint-Germain) and Kamil Syprzak (Wisla Plack) will sign a contract at the VELUX EHF Champions League winner. Furthermore the Catalans prolonged the contracts of Gonzalo Perez de Vargas and Daniel Sarmiento. Marko Kopljar signed a three-years contract.

The Croatian performer recently played for Paris Saint-Germain; his position ist the one of the right backfield. For the time being, the FC Barcelona still has another two right backfielder: Kiril Lazarov and Eduardo Gurbindo. „Now we will have a look who might able to leave," as the sporting director is being quoted. „Basically, Marko Kopljar is supposed to strenghten the right backfield." Kamil Syprzak even signed a four-years contract at the Catalans.

The 23-years old Polish player transfers from Wisla Plock. With Jesper Nøddebo (34) and Cedric Sorhaindo (31) , he has high class but elderly competitors at his position, too. The contract of play-maker Dani Sarmiento has also been prolonged for another year. The central backfield player joined the team in 2009. This season, he was not able to perform much often due to injuries. An early contract extension was done for Gonzalo Perez de Vargas. The keeper, who already had a running contract until 2017, will now stay at the FC Barlona at least until 2020.
